ANAMARIA MORALES
FAR EAST PLAZA STREET MURAL

My name is Anamaria Morales. I was born and raised in Healdsburg Sonoma County. I am a Santa Rosa Junior College alumni and current student at the University of California Berkeley. As a low-income Latinx student and business owner of College Confectionista Cheesecakes, I strongly support creativity, and equality through the arts. When I am not expressing myself through my passion for cheesecakes, I am painting, crafting, creating, movin' and shakin'.
This last summer I organized The Rainbow Trail at Gibbs Park in Healdsburg – a community based mural designed to promote ideas of equality, inclusion, and positivity. My panel design is inspired by The Rainbow Trail – with the beginnings and endings of my art panel symbolizing the inclusivity of various shades of skin tones. The middle of the panel art is a rainbow which represents both a beacon of hope, justice, and acceptance of all peoples.
